Soft and Chewy Sugar Cookies #desserts #treats

On the off chance that you like delicate and chewy sugar treats, at that point this is the formula for you! Sufficiently thick, with a rich extravagance and a lot of vanilla flavor. These will be your new top pick!

I've had delicate and chewy sugar treats on the cerebrum throughout the previous couple of weeks, I've tried and re-tried, and I'm at long last prepared to share this formula! What's more, I truly figure the planning couldn't be better. The temps are beginning to cool, and soon the kiddos will have returned to class.

These treats are basic and direct, yet when you're discussing a straightforward formula with not a ton of fixings, you know it's about the system!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks), softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Place the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl and beat on medium-high speed until very pale and fluffy (about 3 to 5 minutes).
  3. Add the egg, and beat on medium-high speed until incorporated.
  4. Stir in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl with a silicone spatula, then add the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Stir together until incorporated.
  7. Use a 1.5-tablespoon cookie scoop to drop balls of cookie dough on the prepared baking sheets, allowing two inches in between for spreading.
  8. Flatten the balls slightly with the palm of your hand.
  9. Bake the cookies (one sheet at a time) in the center rack of the oven for 8 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set and just barely beginning to turn golden. (Take care not to over-bake, or the cookies will not be as soft.)
  10. Cool on the baking sheet and transfer to an airtight container for storage.
